Blogs from Blogger/BlogSpot are built in a format specifically for hosting by Blogger (owned by Google), so they will not move directly to a regular, independent host. However, there's a relatively simple solution to this problem. Wordpress is probably the premier blogging script online now, and works perfectly on independent hosts, plus it includes a method for importing all your posts from your Blogger blog.

The admin area where you write posts etc will be different to what you are used to, but you'll find it actually has a lot more features and functions, not less. Wordpress has a huge number of plugins and themes available for it too, expanding the possibilities even further.
